FIRST YEAR COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
New and Old Testament Intro – Students are introduced to the books, events and major themes of the Bible with a focus on its application and relevance to us today.
Personal Leadership – Students will be given tools for maximum living as they build godly character, discover personal gifting, and develop strong inter-relational skills. Each student will also be taught spiritual leadership, conflict resolution and financial stewardship.
Life and Teachings of Christ – By presenting Jesus through the eyes of the four Gospel writers and examining the major teachings and miracles of Jesus, students will become familiar with the purpose and nature of Christ.
Authority and Inspiration of the Bible – This course deals with the authenticity and trustworthiness of the Bible. Have the Scriptures been altered? Are there contradictions or errors? This course will increase your confidence in the integrity of God’s Word.
Personal Evangelism – This course equips you to share the Gospel through personal relationships and in cross cultural settings. World views and world religions will also be studied.
Church History, Revivalists and Reformers – A refreshing look at how our Christian Heritage was shaped from past revivals and how they have influenced the church today.
New Covenant Realities and Doctrines – By covering topics such as Grace vs. Sin, The Blood Covenant, Spirit, Soul & Body and Healing, this course builds a solid foundation of truth for Christian life and ministry.
Overcoming Faith – Discover what faith really is and how the faith of God can be released through your life.
Spirit Filled Living – In this course the students are introduced to the Person, power, work, and gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Spiritual Formations – This practical course helps the believer to grow their spiritual life by understanding spiritual disciplines such as; prayer, meditation, Scripture study, fasting, praise and worship and communion.
Effective Communication – This subject seeks to develop each student’s communication skills which are necessary for effective leadership and preaching presentations.
Hermeneutics – Hermeneutics is the study of the art and science of Biblical Interpretation. In this course, we focus on the principles that allow us to “rightly divide the Word of Truth”.
